Adrian, MI – Southeast Michigan Media announced today it would be suspending the broadcast signal of 1490 WABJ-AM in Adrian. The station will be re-positioned at some point in the future. Recent technology updates and economies made the time for transition of this station necessary. The suspension will take place on August 1st, 2021.
Julie Koehn, President of Southeast Michigan Media, Licensee of WABJ said: “While it was a difficult decision to take the station off the air, at this time and in this market, the format is not performing to necessary financial levels to keep it on the air. The station will be going through a re-boot and will be re-positioned again to serve the citizens of Lenawee County. In the meantime, we invite you to tune to 103.9fm WLEN, Q-95 Country WQTE, and 96.5fm The Cave for local news, entertainment and sports.”
