Multiple Lenawee County School Districts, one Township, have Proposals on May 2021 Ballot

Lenawee County, MI – Multiple school districts in Lenawee County have proposals on the ballot for the May election…coming up tomorrow.

Clinton Community Schools… and Lenawee and Washtenaw Counties… are asking to borrow thirty-four million eight hundred thousand dollars to add on to existing schools buildings, remodeling, refurnishing school buildings, technology upgrades, purchasing school buses, and overall site improvements.

Madison Schools have an operating millage renewal proposal and a sinking fund millage proposal on the ballot Tuesday.

Morenci Area Schools has an operating millage renewal proposal up for a vote.

Tecumseh Public Schools voters will have a millage renewal proposal to provide funds to operate a system of public recreation and playgrounds. The proposal will allow the school district to continue to levy a public recreation millage previously approved by the electors that will expire with the 2021 levy.

Voters who reside in Riga Township and Whiteford Agricultural Schools have a regional enhancement millage renewal proposal for the Monroe County Intermediate School District to approve or not.

The one proposal not school-related that is on a local ballot tomorrow is in Riga Township… and is an ordinance to provide for the regulation and number of adult-use marihuana establishments under the Michigan Regulation and Taxation of Marihuana Act.
