Lenawee County Weekend COVID-19 Update: February 22nd, 2021

Adrian, MI – The Lenawee County Health Department and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services continue to update the public on COVID-19.

The LCHD reported 36 new cases from the weekend and 8 current hospitalizations. 93% of the total confirmed COVD-19 cases in Lenawee County are considered discontinued from isolation and improving, with 5% monitoring at home. The total death toll in Lenawee County held at 116, with no new deaths reported over the weekend.

Statewide on Monday, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reported that there were 1,484 new confirmed cases from Sunday and Monday.

There were 3 new COVID-19 deaths reported statewide Monday, and there have now been 15,362 total deaths from the virus.

The MDHHS reports that there have been 1,787,509 Michiganders administered a shot as of last Thursday, with 18,253 doses administered in Lenawee County. As of Monday, there have been 581,403 total confirmed cases. On Saturday, the MDHHS Department reported 529,080 recoveries from COVID-19.
