Lenawee County COVID-19 Update: January 26th, 2021

Adrian, MI – As of Tuesday, there have been more COVID-19 vaccines administered in Lenawee than there have been total confirmed cases of the virus in the county.

There have been 7,252 vaccines administered in Lenawee as of Monday… compared to 5,354 total confirmed cases as of Tuesday.

Statewide on Tuesday, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reported that there were 1,476 new confirmed cases.

There were 79 new COVID-19 deaths reported statewide Tuesday, with 44 of those deaths identified during a Vital Record Review. There have now been 14,405 total deaths from the virus.

The Lenawee County Health Department reported on Tuesday that there were 28 new cases, with 26 hospitalized, and 2 additional deaths… increasing the countywide total to 87.

78% of the total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Lenawee County are considered discontinued from isolation and improving, with 20% of the total confirmed cases in Lenawee are monitoring at home.
