Lenawee County COVID-19 Update: January 22nd, 2021

Adrian, MI – As of Friday, there have been more COVID-19 vaccines administered in Lenawee than there have been total confirmed cases of the virus in the county.

There have been 6,288 vaccines administered in Lenawee… compared to 5,222 total confirmed cases.

Statewide on Friday, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reported that there were 2,157 new confirmed cases.

There were 17 new COVID-19 deaths statewide Friday, and there have now been 14,070 total deaths from the virus.

The Lenawee County Health Department reported on Friday that there were 50 new cases, with 23 hospitalized, and zero additional deaths… holding the countywide total at 82.

The MDHHS reports that there have been 642,111 Michiganders administered a shot as of Thursday. As of Friday, there have been 546,468 total confirmed cases.

In Lenawee, 75% of the total confirmed cases of COVID-19 are considered discontinued from isolation and improving with 23% of the total confirmed cases monitoring at home.
