Lenawee County COVID-19 Update: January 21st, 2021

Adrian, MI – The State of Michigan gave an update on Thursday afternoon about the COVID-19 virus… cases, deaths, recoveries, and vaccinations.

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reported that statewide, there were 2,165 new confirmed cases.

There were 148 new COVID-19 deaths statewide Thursday, with 128 being identified through a Vital Records Review. There have now been 14,053 total deaths from the virus.

The Lenawee County Health Department reported on Wednesday that there were 39 new cases, with 23 hospitalized, and 3 additional deaths… increasing the countywide total at 82.

On the vaccination front, the MDHHS reports that there have been 598,127 Michiganders administered a shot as of Wednesday-.

In Lenawee, 75% of the total confirmed cases of COVID-19 are considered discontinued from isolation and improving with 23% of the total confirmed cases monitoring at home.

As of Wednesday,  there have been 5,708 vaccines administered in Lenawee County.
