Onsted Elementary Staff Member Tests Positive for COVID-19, Delaying Start of Face-to-Face Learning

Onsted, MI – Onsted Elementary School face-to-face opening has been delayed until Wednesday, Sept. 16th. Through the Onsted School District website, Superintendent Steve Head said that late on Saturday that they were notified that an Onsted Elementary School staff member tested positive for COVID-19.

The Onsted School has identified all staff who are considered close contacts of the COVID-19 positive individual and the Lenawee County Health Department has been notified for follow up.

Superintendent Head stated that at this time, no students are considered to be a close contact with the COVID positive person. The Elementary School will be delaying the start of face-to-face classes until Wednesday, September 16th.

The Middle and High School will begin face-to-face and virtual as scheduled today. K-12th students in the Virtual program will begin classes on today as planned as well as transportation will continue as planned.
