WLEN News received this update from David Stimpson, Chairman of the Lenawee County Board of Commissioners Friday afternoon:

“On March 31, 2020, a 52 year old Raisin Township man passed away. His primary health care physician ruled the death cardiac arrest and noted suspected COVID-19.

The State of Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is not qualifying this individual as a COVID-19 death at this time and the state will later make the decision under their guidelines.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. We implore everyone to please listen to the stay home stay safe executive order and continue to practice social distancing.

David Stimpson

Chair, Board of Commissioners”
