9/11 First-Responder Tells His Story About Chronic Pain and Opioids

U.S. war veteran and 9/11 first responder, Sergeant Justin Minyard, was at the American Legion Underwood-Orr Post 34 Tecumseh on November 13th to share how he found his way out of an opioid addiction fueled by chronic pain.

Sergeant Minyard uses Spinal Cord Stimulation, or SCS, to help manage his chronic pain.

He served in the U.S. Army, where he was an Arabic interrogator for multiple special forces operations and earned two purple hearts and a bronze star for valor.
