Madison School District is being recognized as a 2018 Academic State Champion by Bridge Magazine. Based on a study conducted by Stanford University, Madison is named one of only 30 schools in the state of Michigan to receive Academic State Champion honors.

Each year Bridge Magazine reports showcase the progress students made from third to eighth grade. Between the end of third grade and the end of eighth grade, Madison students can expect to, on average, achieve growth of 6.1 grade levels. The dramatic grade level rise in just five years is tied for the second-best growth in the state among all public schools.
