Pete Davidson Appears On ‘SNL’ After Troubling Instagram Post

New York police said they performed a “wellness check” on “Saturday Night Live” cast member Pete Davidson after he posted an alarming note on Instagram on Saturday in which he said, “I really don’t want to be on this earth anymore.” Police officers met with Davidson, though they would not say where or when the wellness check was done.

However on Saturday night, Davidson appeared in two segments of SNL. In a pre-recorded skit, he played Mr. Robot actor Rami Malek auditioning for a role hosting the Oscars, and later introduced a live performance by Miley Cyrus and Mark Ronson.

It has been a tumultuous year for 25-year-old Davidson, 25. In October, he and singer Ariana Grande announced their engagement had ended. Davidson has been open about his mental health struggles in the past, including being diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. NBC said the network isn’t commenting on the matter.
