The Lenawee County Board of Commissioners recently voted on an amendment to the current clean air ordinance.

County Administrator Marty Marshall outlined what the changes would be…

After all was said and done, the vote failed with a 5-4 vote. A supermajority vote, which is six yes votes, is needed to amend or adopt an ordinance. Administrator Marshall talked to WLEN News about possible reasons for commissioners voting no on the changes, and what the commission can do moving forward…

Commissioners Lapham, Driskill, Knoblauch, Collins, and Stimpson voted ‘yes’. Bolton, Tillotson, Wittenbach, and Bales were the no votes. Bales was not in attendance at the meeting, resulting in a ‘no’ vote.
