After all was said and done, the vote failed with a 5-4 vote. A supermajority vote, which is six yes votes, is needed to amend or adopt an ordinance. Commissioners Lapham, Driskill, Knoblauch, Collins, and Stimpson voted ‘yes’. Bolton, Tillotson, Wittenbach, and Bales were the no votes. Bales was not in attendance at the meeting, resulting in a ‘no’ vote.
