The Adrian Downtown Development Authority has started the process of constructing a strategic plan for the board. Tuesday night roughly 30 residents, including DDA members, business owners, and citizens gathered at the Steele Carriage House with members of the Michigan State University Extension Program to gather information about downtown Adrian.

Topics of discussion included downtown infrastructure, usage of riverfront property, parking, amenities for downtown residents, and others.

After the kick-off event, WLEN News talked to Chairman of the DDA Board, Dusty Steele, about the importance of community involvement in the process…

The next step in the process will be a public listening session that will take place October 26th to collect solid ideas for priority areas and projects.
