An east Toledo man was arrested and charged with child endangering after four children were found playing with multiple sharp objects in the front yard.
Police say 37-year-old Keith Shoewe was in charge of taking care of the children, who are between the ages of 3 and 6.
Police found the children playing in the front yard with machetes, hatchets and knives.
WTOL reports that the kids told the officer they hadn’t been playing in the yard long, and had been on top of a van playing with the knives as well.

Shoewe told police he was using the restroom and had no idea what the kids were doing.
Shoewe pleaded not guilty Friday and is being held on a $20,000 bond.
