Police today are continuing to investigating what they believe is a robbery-turned-shooting at University Green Apartments in Ypsilanti. A 25-year-old woman was fatally shot and a 29-year-old man remains in critical condition at an area hospital.
Police are seeking two- possibly three unidentified people who remain at large in connection with the shootings. Ypsilanti police were dispatched just prior to 11:30pm on Friday to investigate.
Upon arrival, police found the 29-year-old man with a gunshot wound in a second-floor common hallway. MLive is reporting the 25-year-old woman was discovered in a nearby apartment.
Eastern Michigan University Police Department said neither victims were students at the university. Eastern’s campus is just south of University Green Apartments in Ypsilanti. If you have any information on this shooting please call the Eastern Michigan University Police Department.
